Dutch Lady Malaysia Assures All Customers That Its Milk Products Are Safe

Leading dairy company, Dutch Lady Milk Industries Berhad (DLMIB), is taking proactive steps and concerted efforts to assure its valued customers and inform all its stakeholders that its milk products under the brand Dutch Lady is safe to consume and is free from melamine contamination.

To date, Dutch Lady Malaysia manufactures and distributes a range of milk-based products, ranging from infant formula, to growing up milk, UHT, sterilised milk, pasteurised milk, condensed milk and yogurt based products, which cater to a very broad base of customers and age groups.

These products use milk sourced from countries like the Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand.

On a separate note, its counterpart in Singapore - Friesland Foods Singapore - withdrew from the market all its Dutch Lady sterilised milk packed in one litre and 250 ml bottles that were produced in China.

Initial tests on random batches of the Dutch Lady sterilised milk (Strawberry flavour in plastic bottles) that were produced in China were found to be contaminated with melamine. Hence, as a precautionary measure, there was a total withdrawal of all milk in plastic bottles from China, in all variants and all pack sizes.

Consumers are encouraged to read carefully all product - labelling to determine the source of these products and to eliminate any unnecessary fears. Also, as an added measure, do visit for more updates and reassuring messages. On that score, Dutch Lady products not produced in China are completely safe for consumption.
